Visiting Rukn Al-Tawfiq Studio in Tabuk

When did you open the studio?
I opened Rukn Al-Tawfiq Studio approximately 35 years ago. At the time, I was an emerging photographer and had just moved to Tabuk. Prior to that, I specialized in photography and graduated from the Aden Photographic V Studio, owned by photographer Aqeel Abbas, one of the oldest and first photographers in the city of Aden.

Why did you move to Tabuk?
My brother was also working there as a photographer and lived in Al-Jaddah, part of the Khalidiyah neighborhood, so I moved to live with him. At that time, the area was a small, modest neighborhood extending from the public mark to the historic Tabuk Castle.

How did your career begin?
In the beginning, my work focused on official photographic services, particularly photographing soldiers and national identification documents. Over time, I witnessed the city of Tabuk change and grow before my eyes and my camera lens. I settled there with my wife and raised my children in the city. Despite everything, my heart has always carried a deep longing for Tabuk.
