Issue 20

In our first issue this year, we’re excited to bring you artwork and essays that include collages, paintings, photo essays, poems, and more. We’re also thrilled to announce our upcoming collaborations with artists and initiatives that revolve around the different mediums of storytelling, as well as future issues that you can contribute to.

We talked to artist Bashaer Hawsawi about her art practice using organic materials, collaborated with Unootha in a new initiative that highlights Khaleeji women’s stories, and released the second part of our monthly column, Razgi.

We’re always inspired by every submission we receive, and we hope you’re as inspired as we are!

Submit to our upcoming issues!

We release two types of issues: General issues and themed issues. General issues are released monthly, and we accept submissions (literally) 24/7. Themed Issues are released every 3 months, and our upcoming themed issue is the Religion Issue.

General Issues

We believe that art does not come in one shape or medium. We invite all artists who are based in Saudi, regardless of age, nationality, or background, to submit to our General Issues. You’re welcome to submit your work at anytime for our monthly general issues here.

Religion Issue

Since our definitions and experiences with religion vary, and different factors contribute to shaping them, we ask you to join us in exploring these unique journeys and practices in our upcoming themed issue: Religion.

Submit your sketches, paintings, collages, photographs, journal entries, articles, videos, and anything in between by April 10, 2021. Press here for more information.
